Gowri is an experienced Physiotherapist with a keen interest in women’s and men’s health physiotherapy, including incontinence issues, general post-surgical bladder and bowel training, pelvic floor function and pre- and post-natal care.

Gowri is an experienced caring practitioner with her Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from India in 2000 and a post-graduate Masters in Physiotherapy from University of South Australia in 2007.

Gowri has a special interest in eco-friendly use of products and encourages others to try and be environmentally friendly. Gowri can also assist you with your post-yoga/Pilates posture correction.

  1. What does a consult with Pelvic or Women’s Health Physiotherapist involve?
    Your initial appointment will assist in your Pelvic Health Physiotherapist understanding your history and the possible cause of your condition.
  1. Will I need an internal examination?
    Yes. In most cases, this will be required except if you have an infection or are on your period. If you are uncomfortable, inform your clinician to discuss alternatives.
  1. How long will each appointment take?
    The initial appointment may take up to 45minutes with any subsequent appointments needed up to 30 minutes or less.
  1. Do I need to prepare myself?
    No, you just need to come in and we provide you with whatever you may require.
  1. How many appointments will I need?
    This is variable and depending on your condition. For most women, 3 to 5 sessions are the average.

Initial consultation and education sessions with Gowri are $180, reviews are $120, and flat fees for frequent reviews are $100. Your Private Health Insurance may cover a portion of these expenses.
