One of our most innovative and proven-to-be effective treatments is skin needling with platelet rich plasma.
What is Cell Therapy?
Cell Therapy is an innovative skin needling treatment designed to stimulate cellular rejuvenation. Cell Therapy is blood that has been processed so all that remains is concentrated and enriched platelets. In a completely natural process, the body reacts to the wounds by releasing growth factors that stimulate the production of new collagen and elastin.
At Eve On 21, we add Cell Therapy to our micro-needling treatments, allowing the platelet-rich plasma to go deep into the dermis where it can work most effectively and takes this skin rejuvenation technique to a whole new level.
Is Cell Therapy for me?
Cell Therapy with skin needling is highly regarded by our doctors as it:
- Promotes tissue regeneration and rejuvenation
- Increases collagen production
- Serves as a “biological glue” promoting tissue adhesion
- Induces cell differentiation
- Eliminates donor transmissible infections
- Is non-allergenic
Cell Therapy is the perfect answer for women seeking a natural way to enjoy younger looking skin at any age. There is nothing more natural than using your own blood to rejuvenate your appearance. The overall result is younger-looking skin with fewer visible signs of facial ageing.
This treatment is not recommended for people who:
- Have skin cancer
- Have liver disorders
- Have problems with blood clotting
During an initial consultation, your doctor will discuss your facial rejuvenation goals to ensure that skin needling with Cell Therapy will help you safely achieve them.
What can I expect from a skin needling treatment?
To ensure optimal results, we recommend patients stay hydrated in the days leading up to and after your appointment. Your skin may feel dry after the treatment so increasing water intake will help to combat this.
At your appointment, you will need to provide a blood test sample which is then placed immediately in a centrifuge which separates your blood into red blood cells and white blood cells. A topical numbing cream will then be applied and a handheld skin-needling device will be used to create hundreds of tiny channels in the skin. Finally, we inject and apply your Cell Therapy to your skin.
After the treatment, what can I expect?
Unfortunately with Cell Therapy results are not instantaneous. You may also experience:
- Mild bruising is also possible.
Once this subsides, very little change will initially be visible. However, over the following few weeks the platelets will stimulate the growth factors, which will assist in more collagen growth.
At Eve On 21 skin needling with Cell Therapy is customised to each woman and her skin rejuvenation goals. Some patients may only require a single treatment, once per year whereas for optimal results for others would require a series of 2-3 treatments spaced about 6-8 weeks apart.
